Meta-analysis
Scientific research often involves navigating a vast and sometimes contradictory body of prior studies. Evidence synthesis, therefore play a crucial role, with meta-analysis, the statistical procedure helps combining results across studies or analysis. As meta-analysis has become integral in many disciplines, including medicine, social sciences, and biology, it is now a standard part of many academic curricula, equipping researchers with essential tools for evidence-based inquiry.

What is meta analysis
Meta-analysis is a statistical method that systematically combines and quantitatively summarizes results from multiple individual studies to produce a single, more precise estimate of an effect or relationship within a defined research question
Individual Participant Data meta-analysis
A more advanced form, known as Individual Participant Data (IPD) meta-analysis, combines raw data from each study instead of summary statistics, allowing for standardized analyses and deeper exploration of factors influencing outcomes. However, IPD meta-analyses remain less common due to the difficulty in accessing original datasets, despite their methodological advantages.
